Wrapped: 2022 | Jumping into 2023!

Our 2022 fundraising efforts came to a close on December 31st, 2022, a little over three weeks ago. Our initial goal was $25,000. While we didn't make it there for the calendar year, we're proud to have reached $20,050! We're so grateful to everyone that supported our efforts in both monetary donations and volunteer hours! 

We could not have made it to this point without wonderful supporters that believed in our mission and saw the importance of supporting the girls and young ladies of our communities. The 2022 year donations allowed us to engage with our mentees in new ways through added outside of school events that focused on vocational skills, and upleveling our standard events with more skilled speakers, and more student support resources and materials. 

We are so grateful and proud to continue forward in 2023. For this year, we've decided to maintain the 2022 fundraising goal of $25,000, in the faith that we'll knock it out of the park for 2023. We've already receieved $7500 in the first month of 2023, so we're off to a roaring start! 

While there has been plenty of interest both internally and externally for the Loving Me 1st program to go national, we understand that without the funding we're not ready for the leap, quite yet. Instead, we'll be taking the additional year to secure a trusted network of mentors in our next probable locations, secure the funding mentors will need to support student needs, and develop a best fit standardized model to fit new needs and demographics. 

We're also taking this time to trial a newer format of small group mentorship to encourage the relationship-building and the development of social skills with new networks.
